The Third Shore

Refund Policy

Last updated · April 30, 2026

The Third Shore (thethirdshore.com, hereafter “the journal”) sells a one-time, lifetime membership. This policy explains the terms; please read it carefully and keep your confirmation before completing your purchase.

No refunds

All membership purchases are final and non-refundable. The membership grants access to digital content (the journal’s archive of past issues), and that access takes effect immediately upon payment.

Cessation of publication and access

The journal reserves the right to cease publication at any time, at the sole discretion of the editor. If the journal ceases publication, members’ archive access ends with it. No prorated refunds will be issued for the unfulfilled portion of any membership. Please understand this fully before purchasing.

Exceptions

The following situations may be reviewed case-by-case at the editor’s discretion:

  • A technical fault on our side has prevented you from accessing any member content at all since your purchase;
  • A duplicate charge from a billing error;
  • An unauthorized purchase made by a third party using your account without your consent (with reasonable evidence).

For any of the above, please email support@thethirdshore.com within 14 days of the payment.

Payment disputes

We encourage readers to contact us before initiating a credit-card chargeback. A chargeback creates additional costs for us and does not speed up any refund.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this refund policy. Any changes will not retroactively affect transactions that have already occurred; the new policy applies only to purchases made after it takes effect.
